How does ZeissDrive work?

Use the app to request your next vehicle, including when and where you would like the vehicle delivered. Your concierge will deliver the fresh vehicle, transfer everything over to your new vehicle, and ensure you’re all set to go. Switch to new vehicles as often as you would like. Our goal is to ensure you have the perfect ZeissDrive Vehicle for any occasion.

What is included in the ZeissDrive Subscription?

Every subscription includes rights to a vehicle, insurance, and unlimited switches between vehicles.

The concierge team delivers hand detailed vehicles to wherever you request. We take care of all maintenance and repairs so you can focus on driving.

What vehicles are included?

ZeissDrive offers a variety of vehicles including luxury sedans, performance vehicles, plug-in hybrids and SAVs. A few vehicle highlights:

How does ZeissDrive pick the perfect vehicle for me?

Think of ZeissDrive as your personal concierge service. Tell us about your needs and we’ll match them with the perfect vehicle. More seats? Extra luggage room? Special date night? We’ve got you covered.

We listen and learn. And don’t worry, if we ever miss the mark we will bring you a new vehicle right away. We focus on the details so you can focus on the ultimate driving experience.

How does insurance work?

Insurance is included with all ZeissDrive subscriptions. All approved drivers are covered by the insurance policy. Policy highlights:

  • $1,000 deductible
  • $1,000,000 liability coverage (combined single limit)
  • $300,000 uninsured motorist (combined)
  • $2,000 medical payments to offset any out of pocket or deductible costs

How long can I keep a vehicle?

As long as you want.

There are no restrictions on how long or how short you can hold on to a vehicle. Occasionally, when a vehicle has been with a member for many weeks, we might need to ask for it back so that we can do routine tasks like preventive maintenance.

How new are the vehicles?

All vehicles are the current or prior model year. Each vehicle is detailed before and after it ever goes to a member.

SIGNING UP

How do I join ZeissDrive?

Download our app here and hit “Sign up”. Follow the instructions to create an account. You will need to provide a credit card, select a plan and provide a picture of your driver’s license. We will verify your information and check your driving history. We may need to speak with you during that process. In most cases, we can approve an application within one business day. Then we will contact you to get you started and schedule your first switch!

Is ZeissDrive in my area?

ZeissDrive will be launching in Charlotte, NC in the Summer of 2018. If you’re outside of our membership radius, sign up for new and updates and we will let you know when we arrive in your city.

Who is eligible?

Anyone 21 or over with a valid license and clean driving record.

How do I receive my first vehicle?

Once accepted, your concierge will work with you to deliver your first vehicle. We recommend you reserve at least 30 minutes for your first delivery so we can answer any questions and show you the ropes.

What is the joining fee?

The $499 joining fee is required for all new memberships. The fee is non-refundable and charged when your first delivery is scheduled.

EVERYDAY USAGE

How well equipped are the vehicles?

The majority of vehicles are equipped with a mid to high-end trim package. Options can vary based on model and specific vehicle. We cannot guarantee the availability of certain options.

Are pets allowed in vehicles?

We do allow pets in the vehicles, but they must be transported in a crate. It is better for the vehicle and safer for your pet.

What happens if my vehicle needs repair?

Our goal is that you will never have to worry about maintenance or repair issues. If something unforeseen occurs, use the app to notify us and we will get you back driving!

What happens if I get into an accident?

First, make sure that everyone is safe, get your vehicle to a safe place, exchange information with the other parties and notify the police. Once the situation is stabilized, call us on our private concierge line. We will bring you a fresh vehicle and handle everything with respect to the vehicle involved in the incident.

How much advance notice is required for a switch?

While there is no minimum notice required, the best practice is to book a few days in advance.

Booking a vacation? Go ahead and book your switch too.

Need something this afternoon? Don’t stress, we will bring you the best option available.

Do I tip the concierge?

ZeissDrive does not allow tipping. Concierge delivery is part of the overall member experience and included with the monthly subscription. If you have an exceptional concierge experience feel free to reflect it in the service rating or by letting the team know.

PRICING AND PAYMENT

What about fuel?

All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of gas, and members are only responsible for the fuel they use. If you switch a vehicle without a full tank, your concierge will refill the vehicle and add the charge to your account following your switch. We never charge a fuel premium or convenience fee.

When is payment due?

A valid credit card is required during sign up. Your first payment will be charged when we confirm delivery of your first vehicle. Subsequent payments will be charged on a monthly basis, in advance. Any additional charges for gas or upgrades will be charged as soon as they are incurred.

Where can I find the insurance card?

View a digital version of your insurance card under “Your current ride” on the home screen of your app. Hard copies of the insurance card can also be found in the glovebox.

What is the minimum commitment?

ZeissDrive is a monthly subscription service. Pay for the first 31 days and give it a try. Your subscription will renew automatically monthly after the first period. If you ever want to cancel, just let us know and we will end your subscription after your current month has expired.

Can I move between the different plans?

Yes, members can move between plans at any time. Your monthly subscription fee will be prorated. We require that members moving to a lower rated plan have been on their current plan for at least one month.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes. Going out of town?

Just pause your account for any number of days for a $200 convenience fee. Then pick right back up where you left off for no additional charge.

TERMS OF USE

Is there a mileage limit per month?

ZeissDrive subscriptions include 1000 miles of driving per month across the vehicles you switch into. Any unused miles ‘roll over’ each month you continue with the service. If you don’t have ‘roll over’ miles, each additional mile over 1000 in a given month will have a $0.50 per mile surcharge.

Can anyone else drive the vehicle?

Yes, up to two eligible drivers may be registered as additional drivers and added to the member’s account.

Are members responsible for their ZeissDrive vehicle?

Yes, we expect our members to take care of the vehicles as if they owned them. Please drive responsibly, keep your vehicle clean, and let us know of any minor dings or spills via the ZeissDrive app.

What is the condition of the vehicles?

We are committed to delivering vehicles that are in excellent condition. To that end, we use technology to ensure that the vehicles are properly maintained and driven responsibly.

What data does ZeissDrive collect?
